先日、弱視の白杖を持った利用者さんがいらしていて、
見える範囲が小さいので、手元の作業と普段は農作業の草取りを頑張ってもらっています。
この間の雨で農作業にでられなかった際、内職をやってもらていましたが、
それも早く終わってしまったので、メダカの掃除をするスポンジを刺す仕事をお願いしました。
こうやってと何度か順番通りにやってみせ、手元に置いたり、手を添えてサポートしましたが、
「やりたいけど見えないからできない」「ここには私ができる仕事はないんですか？」
と心情を吐露していました。
いつも上司が対応していたため、電話して指示を仰ぎ、濡れてない場所で草取りをしてもらってとのことでした。
その後、上司が相談員さんなどに確認したところ、女の人に甘えるところや優しい人に頼ってしまうところがあるとのことでした。
不穏ではなかったのでよかったなと思うとともに、雨の日のやってもらえることを考えていきたいと思っています。
